  • International Award as one of the Eleven laureates of Women’s World Summit Foundation (WWSF) Geneva,     Switzerland  2010for the “Women’s creativity in rural life”. The award consists of US$ 1000   and a certificate.

She was instrumental in developing Kumblm Panchayt (where KUFOS is situated) in to an ornamental fish village where 300 families were trained for ornamental fish culture. Most of them have started ornamental fish culture at their backyard and started earning for their livelihood.

 

  • Best scientific paper from SOFTI, FISHERY TECHNOLOGY (CIFT) 2000
  • Senior Scientist Gold Medal Award for the Best presentation of Paper during the year 2004,
  • Vocational Excellence Award for the year 2009 by Rotary club,
  • Received “Vocational Excellence Award SWABHIMAN 2012” for the best scientist from Rotary club
  • Best Teacher award by Students union KUFOS 2012
  • Best Popular Teacher award by students union KUFOS 2013
  • Woman of the month by Aquaculture without Frontiers(AwF)of World Aquaculture Society (WAS) 2015

 

  • Attended short term courses on “Participatory Fisheries Management” at Wageningen International, The Netherlands
  • Attended the course on stock assessment of marine fishes at Iceland, with UNU-FTP(United Nations fellowship)
  • Attended “Ornamental fish medicine course” at Oregon state  university, USA.2011

  • She retired from service of Kerala University of Fisheries and Ocean studies, Cochin after 32 years of teaching, research and extension activities and at present is a faculty at the Department of Aquaculture, Sacred Heart College, Mahatma GandhiUniversity, Thevera, Cochin, Kerala.
  • Visited countries viz., Brazil, China, Singapore, Malasia, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, France, Netherlands,

Germany, Belgium, Australia, Cape Town, Iceland, England and USA and Ethiopia.
